Plan A was in full effect. The band met at 8pm and from 8-9 we loaded Jim’s van completely full with all of the gear. He would drive his van (with one other) and the rest of the band would ride with Dave. Packed and ready by 9pm. Jim headed home.

15 minutes later, Jim calls. His van broke down. He has to get it towed to a service station. Plan B began. Dave called a church member and was going to borrow a big SUV. Dave, Jesse, Laura, and James hit the road up to their house to pick up the SUV. That’s when the phone rang saying that the SUV wouldn’t start. Engine problem. It’s now about 930pm.

Now we’re brainstorming Plan C. After some discussion, it was decided to rent a 15-passenger van in the morning. Stamped. Done. James was dropped off at home (after all, he’s just a lad) and Dave and Jesse headed to Hutchinson to meet Jim. His van had to be unloaded. We moved everything from his van to Jesse’s and Jim’s car (with the help of Monique). Everything was taken to be stored safely at Jim’s house until we load the new van tomorrow.

Here’s to hoping we can rent a van in the morning, so we don’t have to figure out a Plan D.

First, we’re hitting the road Friday to Des Moines, IA. We’ll be playing a worship concert at a church in Pleasant Hill. Very excited to hang out with the people there and share some of our songs. Following the concert we’ll be hitting the road to Cedar Rapids, IA for a conference by Best Life Ministries. We’ll be there for the first half of the day leading worship. After lunch we’ll be getting back on the road heading to Minneapolis to play for a wedding reception.

We are very excited to be able to play music together and share what God is doing in our band. We ask for your prayers as we travel and lead worship. Be praying for us this weekend!
